A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied under Lydia Mordkovitch, Thibault Noally has collaborated with numerous ensembles such as Concerto Köln, Ensemble Matheus, Café Zimmermann, Les Nouveaux Caractères and Pulcinella.
He is a member of the Syntonia Quintet, whose recordings – devoted primarily to the piano quintet repertoire – have been acclaimed by critics.
Thibault Noally is now the concertmaster of the orchestra Les Musiciens du Prince, conducted by Cecilia Bartoli, and was, for over 15 years, the concertmaster of Les Musiciens du Louvre – Marc Minkowski.
He performs regularly with renowned singers such as Cecilia Bartoli, Anne Sofie von Otter, Gaëlle Arquez, Philippe Jaroussky, Carlo Vistoli, Christophe Dumaux, Vivica Genaux and Julia Lezhneva, and appears as a soloist at the most prestigious venues and festivals: the Philharmonie, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Opéra-Comique and the Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Royal Chapel at Versailles, the Arsenal in Metz, the Théâtre Impérial in Compiègne, the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Tokyo City Opera, the State Operas of Vienna and Berlin, the Shanghai Concert Hall, the Hong Kong Centre for the Arts, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, not to mention major festivals such as Vilnius, KlangVokal Dortmund and the Salzburg Mozart Week.
He is the only artist to have had the opportunity to perform and record on both violins that once belonged personally to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
In 2014, he founded the ensemble Les Accents, which specialises in the vocal and instrumental repertoires of the 17th and 18th centuries. In residence at the Beaune Festival until 2018, the ensemble focuses on reconstructions and rediscoveries: the world premiere of Porpora’s oratorio Il Trionfo della Divina Giustizia (2015), a new reconstruction of Vivaldi’s Tamerlano (2016), Alessandro Scarlatti’s Mitridate Eupatore (2017) and the extremely rare Rodrigo by Handel (2018), which was also performed at the Theater an der Wien in December 2019.
Since its inception, the ensemble has performed at the Salle Gaveau, the Royal Chapel at Versailles, the Froville Festival, the Tarentaise Baroque Festival, the Saint-Michel-en-Thiérache Festival, the Vilnius Festival, KlangVokal in Dortmund, the Sully-sur-Loire Festival, the Auvers-sur-Oise Festival, the Paris Festival, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Arsenal in Metz, the Théâtre Impérial in Compiègne, the Montpellier Opera, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, the Theater an der Wien in Vienna, the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, and the Berlin Philharmonie...
In 2017, Thibault Noally and Les Accents began a collaboration with the Festival de La Chaise-Dieu centred on a cycle of Scarlatti oratorios, which opened in August 2019 with Il Martirio di Santa Teodosia (Aparté), followed by San Filippo Neri in 2021, with Sedecia, Re di Gerusalemme and La Giuditta to follow in 2022.
At the Montpellier Opera in 2020, Thibault Noally conducted a new production of Trionfo del Tempo by Handel, as well as Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme by Molière and Lully, directed by Jérôme Deschamps.
Over the past few seasons, he has conducted Rinaldo by Handel on tour (Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Palau de la Música in Barcelona), Hasse’s Serpentes ignei in deserto (Berlin Philharmonie), Handel’s Il Trionfo del Tempo (Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg), Scarlatti’s Il Primo Omicidio (Beaune Festival), and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater (Avignon Opera, Rocamadour Festival).
During the 2024/25 season, he appears, amongst numerous other engagements, with Les Accents at the Salle Cortot and the Salle Gaveau in Paris, at the Berlin Philharmonie, at the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, at the Opéra d’Avignon, as well as at the Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival, where he will conduct Bach’s St Matthew Passion with the orchestra La Grande Écurie-Les Ambassadeurs.
In 2025/26, Thibault Noally performed with Les Accents at festivals in Tours, Pornic and Neuilly-sur-Seine, as well as at the Oratoire du Louvre and Les Invalides in Paris. Upcoming engagements include a European tour of Handel’s Agrippina with Magdalena Koená with Les Accents, a return to the Berlin Philharmonie, as well as to the Klangvokal in Dortmund and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées with Alessandro Scarlatti’s previously unperformed Cantata for Christmas Eve.

Rameau’s Concerts en Sextuor will be released by Aparté in April 2022.
