Alicia AMO - Soprano

Alicia Amo begins her musical studies in the speciality of Violin combining with Classical Percussion and Ballet. She obtains the Higher Diploma in Violin in San Sebastián with the best marks and realizes a Master in Violin at the University of Graz. She moves to Basle (Switzerland) to study historical Singing at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Gerd Türk and gets the Bachelor degree and the Master degree with Honors. Alicia has also studied baroque violin and taken part in two Operastudio with Alberto Zedda (Bel Canto) and René Jacobs (Mozart, Susanna role).

She is winner of the Mozart International Opera Competition Granada, Manhattan International Music Competition, Berliner International Music Competition, Francesco Provenzale International Singing Competition in Naples, the principal role in the Atelier Lyrique Strasburg and the residences at Ambronay and Fondazione Cini Venezia.

She performs opera and oratorio from 16th century to 21th century conducted by René Jacobs, Andrea Marcon, Jonathan Cohen, Enrico Onofri, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Raphaël Pichon, Martin Gester, Maxim Emelyanychev, Christian Zacharias, Thomas Hengelbrock, Ton Koopman, Damien Guillon, PabloValetti, Laurence Equilbey, Corrado Rovaris, Giancarlo Andretta, Miguel Romea, José Ramón Encinar, Pablo Heras-Casado, Carlos Mena, Guillermo García-Calvo,. Pablo González, Miguel Á. Gómez-Martínez, Víctor Pablo Pérez, etc.

Alicia is regularly invited by numerous orchestras such as Zürcher Kammerorchester, Café Zimmermann, B’rock Orchester, Balthasar Neumann, Haydn Philharmonie, Insula Orchestra, Bochumer Symphonyker, Le Banquet Celeste, Orchestra di Camera di Lugano, Le Parlement de Musique, Pygmalion Ensemble, La Cetra Basel, Al Ayre Español, Vokalakademie Berlin, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao, Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi, Orquesta Sinfónica de Granada, Orquesta Sinfónica de Asturias, Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid and Orquesta Sinfónica de la Radio-Televisión española among others, and in theaters like Versailles, Nantes, Rennes, Nancy, Bourdeaux, Bilbao, Oviedo, Maestranza (Sevilla), Zarzuela and Auditorio (Madrid), Kursaal (San Sebastián), Ruhrtriennale Bochum, Massimo (Palermo), Innsbruck, Konzerthaus Wien, Schloss Esterházy and Semperoper Dresden.
